Two suspected bandits have been killed, while a third escaped with injuries after local hunters, known as Yan Bula, ambushed them in Falgore Forest, Doguwa Local Government Area of Kano State.
The Kano State Police Command said the incident occurred on Saturday, October 17, 2026, shortly after the suspects collected a ransom of N10 million for the release of a kidnapped victim, Kabiru Aliyu, 45, of Falgore Village.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, said the victim was kidnapped on September 11, 2026, and had spent days in captivity before his release.

The victim was released unharmed after the money was collected. However, the suspects were ambushed by the local hunters while returning to their hideout in the forest.
